TDL CYCLISTS MISS SEVERE TORONTO WEATHER

Hours after our TDL cyclists departed, severe thunderstorms hammered Toronto Monday, leaving cars stranded throughout the city and over 300,000 residents without power.

The G.T.A. was hit with a month’s worth of rain in just one day, with approximately 3.5 inches of rainfall.

HI TO ALL THE RIDERS

WE THOUGHT OF YOU TODAY, AND WE HOPE THAT YOU WERE NOT IN TORONTO WITH THIS INCREDIBLE RAIN.   WE ARE KEEPING OUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR DRY AND COOLER WEATHER THIS  YEAR.  THE  DEDICATION OF ALL OF YOU RIDERS  IS IMPRESSIVE, AND WE  ARE SO HAPPY TO SEE THAT OVER $60,000.00 HAS BEEN PLEDGED.

AS A COMMUNITY, WE SHOULD ALL BE SO PROUD OF AND THANKFUL FOR ALL YOUR COURAGE AND ENTHUSIASM  IN UNDERTAKING THIS ENDEAVOR TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR OUR HOSPITAL.   THANK YOU ALSO TO THE ROTARY CLUBS AND ALL OTHERS, BOTH IN CANADA AND  IN THE U.S.A.,  WHO ARE ASSISTING  IN ANY WAY WITH THIS  TOUR.    WHAT A WONDERFUL CONTRIBUTION AND WHAT A STUNNING  ACHIEVEMENT BY ALL THE PARTICIPANTS, WHETHER ON THE FULL TOUR OR ON PART OF IT OR ASSISTING.  THANK YOU AGAIN!

GOOD LUCK, SAFE JOURNEY,  AND WONDERFUL MEMORIES, RICK AND ELMA KIMPEL
(Barry's neighbours)
