Today's ride will traverse picturesque Prince Edward County en route to Kingston.
It's a beautiful day and a long ride. A "century" as the cyclists like to call it.
The "A" Group (a.k.a. the Jackrabbits) were unleashed and the first group to depart Cobourg.
Prior to leaving Cobourg, Tom, Larry & Andrew once again checked out the local news in the Port Colborne Leader.

Fort Kente was built in 1813 on the Isthmus of the Bay of Quinte to protect the portage.
The portage (Carrying Place) was considered a vital part of the military highway between Lake Ontario and the Bay of Quinte during the War of 1812. It was thought to have a better future than York (nowToronto)
when water transport was the principal means of travel. The original military outpost was built on
Kente Portage, now the oldest road in continuous use in Ontario.
